Establishing a company in Ukraine involves far more than just submitting paperwork. Documents are then submitted to the state registrar (regardless of company address — thanks to extraterritoriality) in person, by mail, or online. The registrar has up to 24 hours to enter the company in the Unified State Register; the entry date marks the official registration. Founders then receive a certified extract and original documents. The system will automatically notify tax, pension, and other public authorities, so further registration steps are, in most cases, not needed. However, you may need to collect certain paperwork (e.g., tax registration certificate, company code) directly from the relevant institutions. Company stamps are optional. Foreign founders need to provide legalized and translated corporate documents and obtain a Ukrainian tax number. Once set up, you may need to pay state fees, arrange for special licenses, and order consultations on taxes and business structuring.
